Notebooks Etc. - Giveaway! - *COMMENTS CLOSED*

I remember when I was a little kid, I used to LOVE stationery. I had pens and pencils of every colour and size, and my notebooks and memo pads had to have every one of my favourite cartoon characters on them. I'd bring them home and decorate the covers with Lisa Frank, My Little Pony or Care Bears stickers. My week was never complete without a trip to the stationery store! I seem to have grown out of this addiction a bit but I'm still drawn to pretty looking notebooks and pens such as the ones sold by Notebooks Etc.

Notebooks Etc. is run by Reg and Don, a boyfriend-girlfriend team from Manila, Philippines. Don is a TV producer in the country's biggest TV network and Reg is a freelance illustrator/graphic designer. Reg resigned from her boring day job (as a motion graphics artist at the same TV network Don works -- that's where they met!) because she was idealistic and wanted to draw for fun. Luckily she gets to do that on Etsy with their handmade notebooks, notepads, button pins, tumblers, stickers, etc. All the designs on their products are made by Reg. Don's contribution to the shop comes in the form of manual labour (carrying reams of paper, hooray), constant questions ("Have you listed new items on Etsy yet?") and making sure they don't lose money. He also comes up with fab designs for their products from time to time!

Reg loves notebooks, school and office supplies. She can spend hours at a local shop selling just that. Reg named her shop Notebooks Etc. because she sold mostly notebooks but didn't want to limit herself to one thing. She sells memo pads, stickers, tumblers and cellphone charms as well. She thinks the name Notebooks Etc. is all-encompassing and even has plans to sell button pins and paintings too.

When Reg resigned from her first job as a motion graphics artist for television last year, that was also when she stumbled upon Etsy. When she first learned about Etsy, the gears in her head started turning and she hasn't stopped thinking of and making handmade products to sell since then! But as a kid she has always been very crafty and artistic. Reg made t-shirts for every one of her relatives once for Christmas using fabric paint, and at the beginning of every school year she would take apart her store-bought notebooks to decorate and make collages on the covers, then put them back together.

As a freelance graphic designer/illustrator, Reg was looking to supplement her income during times when projects were scarce. Etsy provided a perfect venue to earn on the side and have fun at the same time! Reg finds it rewarding having people like her work enough to purchase from her and although she just started, it's exciting knowing her notebooks and other products have found their way over to places she's never been like Australia, Canada, Denmark, Scotland, France, and Italy to name a few!

Notebooks Etc.'s notebooks and memo pads are illustrated, punched, and bound together by Reg. They contain 80 GSM acid-free paper. The stickers are individually and carefully handcut. Reg's favourite item so far is her Cupcake Bears. She has stickers, a tumbler, notebook, and memo pad with this design on them. Cupcake Bears were born out of her love for teddy bears and cupcakes so she fused them together and created a whole new species. Her Cupcake Bears sticker set is one of her bestsellers! I think they are so adorable too!
